Vintage Buses
Any photos of vintage buses? Love the old buses, in particular the old 'Southdown' double deckers that use to run around the South East of England.

Might see if I can find some pics to upload in the near future.

Very nice - they were called "Queen Marys". Most conductors rang them off by taping a coin on the driver's window but I once travelled on one with a very senior conductor who correctly rang the bell!

Very interesting, this bus used to be on the route near to where I live.

I do remember when I was a little boy, the conductors used to help the old folk and mothers with pushchairs get on and off the bus.

How things have changed, nowadays you're lucky if the driver stops:D

I think our ladies Lady Justine & Holly would make good bus conductress's, I'd certainly take a ride with them! Sorry just my cheeky sense of humour!

nice old buses double deckers were never popular over here probably due to all the low trolley wires everywhere.
