Default Peugeot 206, W Regn:.

Customers complaint, idle up down, and a smell from the cat major when hot,

Not off to a good start as there are no codes in the system and the light has not been on.

We started to think that the car was going from lean to very rich, but with a coolant sensor, if they go open this will put on the light and trigger a flag and give a limp home mode.

We started the car from cold checking the coolant sensor on the hand set data, all looked ok, as the temp: started to rise 4v was noted, and the car went rich, this will not trigger the light or set a flag.
The ECM will just go rich, thinking it is cold, fault here is the coolant sensor.
