Unhappy Peugeot 307 rear light fault

Hi Everyone, can you help?, with Peugeot 307 06 plate rear light fault, the rear right hand side light is not working, at first it looked like a pin fault at the PCB to the rear lamp, and after pulling it out it was working again.

A week or so and it's now stopped again. The lamp is LED and not bulb so a new light was fitted..

Now we can't get it to work at all and we have noted the side light on the boot is alao not working, I'm not sure if this was the case before or not.

We had the system checked for codes, this maybe at the body control or something.

There are two codes set, rear right hand side light short to ground, and rear fog light short to ground, this may well be the case as the side lights not working

I'm not sure where to start with this system, what I can say is at switch on the light will come on then go out again, that's really odd.

Any help would be great,
Thanks from the Grease Monkey

Yes we have seen this fault before, for sure you have a short or high load on that circ: and that's why you see the light till the can syatem switches it off.

I bet the number plate light is not working, it comes from that side, try looking at that, it may just be the number plate light bulb at fault.
