I know all about it, yesterday i went to the shop to get milk and bread in the BMW, and on the way back there was a big bang, the front R/H coil spring had broken .
I drove half mile untill the spring found its way down the strut and was hitting the tyre, i had to walk 1 1/2 miles home to get the breakdon truck well it was snowing , like you i was not to happy, the new spring came in about 1 hr ago.
Look forward to seeing the new tank when you get it .

the new tank arrived,

it got here this afternoon & I went straight out to the garage & set about it with the spanners

I think it'll take a little time to get used to as I prefered the look of the old one but the advantage of being able to go a decent distance without having to keep stopping to fill up will be a big incentive to stick with it

as you can see, this one is more of a bowser than a fule tank

I know I could get about 70 miles to the other 5ltr one so this should get me closer to 200 miles per tank at 14ltr

Hi happy to see you got your tank today, and it looks good, should look even better with some side stickers on it like the last one.

Next you will be telling me you plan a long bike ride, but not if it is as cold as it is here, 1ft of snow on the moutains today .

yes some decent decals would go a long way towards making it feel like my bike again

I don't suppose anyone knows of a company that make custom stickers, I would like some made up with the name of the bike

if it was a normal bike like Honda or Suzuki or any number of other popular makes, I could go to any bike shop & get all the stickers I wanted, unfortunatley Saracen are one of the rarest makes on the planet, they only had a seven year production run (68-75) & with strong (less expensive) competition from other makes such as bultaco there were never that many of them made befor they went under

I do intend to do some touring on this bike but I will be waiting for the weather to improve, I'll also have to make some form of back rack to carry some of the luggage,

I didn't get away on the bike at all last year as the summer was just too wet, I really hope we get better weather this year

ok, the custom graphics are ordered

two sets of brush script letters saying "Saracen" that should be a good start,

I just had a better look at the pakaging it came wrapped in, befor I threw it out, & there was a pair of "Clark Racing" stickers in there along with the mounting instructions that I completely over looked earlier

I'll wait till I have the Saracen logos on there 1st befor I start loading it up with other stickers though, or I might not leave myself enough room

hi gibbmodoll,

I had a look at that link but I couldn't see what I was after there, they do have a custom lettering service but you have to draw out what you want & send it to them them, if I wanted to draw it I might aswell draw it out on the tank & paint it in

I went with these guys in the end http://www.stickers.signprint.co.uk/ as they had a range of lettering styles, colours, & sizes to pick what you wanted there & then
